VADNAIS HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA—July 14, 2016— The best of the region’s printing industry were on display at this year’s annual Printing Industry Midwest 2016 Star of Excellence Awards, where Minnesota Label Inc. won Best of Category and Best of Class. The awards were earned in the Student category, featuring a student design printed by Minnesota Label.

Minnesota Label was also recognized with a pair of Certificates of Merit by the Printing Industry of America (PIA) in the 2016 Premier Print Awards.

The Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) is the local trade association for the printing and graphic arts industries, and is an affiliate of the national PIA organization. The organizations host these annual competitions to recognize those responsible for the creation and production of top print communications. With its work measured against the best in the region and nation, Minnesota Label Inc. won its awards for its Merry Christmas Flexographic label, which took home:

• PIM Best in Category for all Student classes
• PIM Best in Class for the 50% Completed by Students class in the Students category
• PIM Certificate of Merit for Flexographic Printing Narrow Web Labels category
• PIA Certificates of Merit for Flexographic Printing and Post-Secondary Student entries
